Small Town

I was born in a small town Just nearby the stream With a butcher and a bakery Hell, they even brew their beer Where everybody knows your name and Knows every step you take I sometimes wished myself out of this place I wished upon a penny In the fountain near the park I swear I could touch that falling star I even caught a lady bug But I guess it never got me far In the summer when the corn's high And its leaves are hanging dry The garden's packed with all of my friends And the bottles are stacked on ice I look upon that silver moon And wonder if I'll make A difference in a bigger town someday I wished upon a penny In the fountain near the park I swear I could touch that falling star I even caught a lady bug But I guess it never got me far Ooooohh...
