Lost

At the crossroads of life, I looked within

And did not like who I had become

Choices of mine, betrayed me again

I was so frightened because

I was lost, a wanderer without a cause

Weary and worn from it all….lost

I stumbled on, down a long, broken path

I’d never felt so alone

I prayed for the dawn in a midnight so black

Desperate and dying for home

But oh what a merciful Savior You are

Stepping into the shadows to rescue our hearts

In the hands that were nail pierced and love lifted me

And now that I’m found, forever I’ll be

Lost…In the wonder of Your love for me,

And the grace that met my greatest need

Lost… in the kindness that I don’t deserve

When I see how willing You were

To come after me

I’m lost, in the goodness of your small embrace

Knowing I’m forever safe, for all of my days I will be
