Lyrics

It plummeted to minus-nine outside,
Every single thing we planted last summer died.
I came home with a plan to de-toxify
But there’s more poison now than ever in my mind.
The idea of not drinking just to have a time
Means you gotta deal with real feelings on the fly.
I went to talk to someone about my head,
I guess it takes guts to take the long hard road instead.
That bright blue screen keeps me up all night
Means I haven’t been sleeping right
It’s darker than it’s ever been before
As early as five P.M. outside my door
I was down in the can holding my dick
Like an old man twenty times a day I gotta piss.
Thinking what a drag it is to get through this,
Does it take any guts or not to deal with it?
Nobody was talking about his death
They were muttering about it underneath their breath
Close your eyes and make a wish,
Crash your guts into my fist.
That bright blue screen keeps me up all night
Means I haven’t been sleeping right
It’s darker than it’s ever been before
As early as five P.M. outside my door
I was standing alone in an unfamiliar room
I kept telling myself it’ll all be over soon
My body’s been begging please no more
My guts are still laying all over the bathroom floor.
