Picking up steam I'm one way bound And trying not to lose my mind Ever at the ready And hoping I'm steady enough This cold in my bones Is hurting for a coat Thick enough to kick the wind I'm tearing at the seams Tryin to shed this skin I'm alright I've just been dealing with uncertainty It's been pushing at the door Held my breath To try and keep it all from getting in For a while Catching myself Staring into nothing Trying not to break this phone It's numbing my mind Tryin to keep it's hold This burden I carry Is stubborn and heavy Begging to decompress I'm screaming out loud To get it off my chest I'm alright I've just been dealing with uncertainty It's been pushing at the door Held my breath To try and keep it all from getting in For a while Reaching for the light That's dimming at the surface Tryin to pull me out I'm sticking to the lines That are leading me out of this doubt I'm strong and I'm steady Ever at the ready And that's more than enough This cold in my bones Is helping me find my own I'm alright I've just been feeling uncertainty Tried to pin me to the wall Ain't a crime to be uneasy with uncertainty at all
