Days Gone By

Putting those old records on remembering days long gone Seems like yesterday I heard it all for the first time So many years ago wide eyed and new Carefree and all of those old sounds ringing true It didn't take too long to say good bye to my youth A young man with spiky hair and brand new combat boots Finally found a place a place where I belonged Inside the anger of all of those old songs Feeling a little nostalgic for those good ol days When everything seemed like it was trial by fire We went all or nothing wore our hearts on our sleeves Wore our hearts on our fucking sleeves Was it just me or did the sun seem brighter Those days seem longer and full of a new promise Twenty plus years in don't know where the time went Great times great memories and all the people that I met Don't know what I'd change if I ever got the chance Some say it's a wasted life I just say I walk my own path Live our lives in the underground dirty dives and dirty bars Punks and skins and hooligans cause that's who we fucking are That's enough time spent living in the past Brand new days are in front of me cause I was built to last Still down here in these trenches fighting the good fight It's not about paying dues it's doing what you know is right Gotta live in these moments before they fade away Because once these moments pass you by the belong to yesterday I will always remember how I became who I am today I will always remember how I became the man I am today
