Mother Mary’s son paid the robbers down

So we could walk on through the night on the road to Jerusalem.

And we had torches, we had wine, and the road passed quickly as we walked on into the night.

And I said, “brother how could it be?

That we’ve been wandering since the winter turned to green.

And he said, “brothers and sister, there somebody I gotta see

And everything I’ve told to you, she showed it all the me.

Cause I was broken, I was blind, and she came to me all alone on night.

She carried me down, to the water, and I saw my love staying there.

She laid me down in the water and I felt the love so cool and rare.

In the light of the morning, had to go my way.
