I was sitting at the corner Staring at a dollar When a guy asked me a question Do you wish never to be alone Never to be broke and always to be right? So I stood on my feet just a second I took a good look at him and then I said "you know man" I said "I'm still gonna to be alone, Still gonna be broke, but I know that I'll be alright." And your life could be a kingdom I was sipping from a bottle thinking About tomorrow when I asked myself a question Will I always be alone, always be broke, never gonna be right? But I remember when the kids they used to tease me about my life And my momma she would say when I got home from school that night "If you ever feel alone, ever feel broke, know you'll be alright."
