And so she ran back from the beach

The grass blooded and the sickening dew Stumbling as she goes, soon out of reach Runs on the wind, safe from view

So, with a gun in her hand,

she falters, but does not fall

She shoots, trembling hands,

breathes pain and leans against the wall

While her love lies like a stone in the ripping rain A rain that she believes will wash her pain

And she hears....

Come My fire flower ! Don't go your own way My fire flower! you play your cruel games My fire flower !I feel your fire rage

Be my flower! Until our fires fade

And so in a rain that she believes, will seal his fate Washed out to sea, his jail without chains

But when she looks up again,

with a face of a child

He calls out to her, from the seas so rough and wild
