Light travels in a straight line

from the night light in the hall to the

end of time.

Going past so fast, dazzled by the light.

Flying past the exit in the dead of night.

When I cross over the bridge the moon

still follows me.

The lights in the park still follow me.

The breathing in the dark still

follows me.

In all the broken pieces that I left

behind

There’s something everlasting that is

ill-defined.

There’s sadness in the touch of your

skin on mine.

I still feel the loss of things I could

not find.
