I’ve never been too crazy about surprises

But still I always end up getting hit with something

In other news, my doctor put me on a new mood stabilizer

Here’s to hoping that it sticks

I’ve been skipping out on my twelve step meetings

I’m finding it hard to walk through the door

So I justify it by telling myself that I no longer really need it

I need it now more than ever before
