I wish I could just wake up

And remember that its all a dream

Then go back to sleep

And pretend to forget 

What i already know

So we go from place to place

From state to state

Asleep and awake

Somnambulant, sedate

As if not everything were at stake

But know this, it doesn’t take more than 

One eye to cry

One life to die

One question why

Two little flaps to fly away

So hush little baby

You have all the time in the world

To start singing your word

To spread your wings

And take to the sky
