You see the train, as it’s howling through the station

Making sure that it’s all in the frame

Auteur directing every step along the sides of Broadway

You wake up choking for air

The coffee is cold

All your friends are just some circles and squares

But you sit and think why

All of your christmas lights are hanging in the middle of july

It feels silly to give it a thought but it makes you cry

Well nothing’s going to plan

So

Find a different one, or lie until the ceiling caves in

Don’t beat yourself up kid

You’re spoiled with experience yet waiting for some show to begin.
