Year 3

I never was that great at goodbyes Honestly I still hate the sound of them But that year was the year of goodbye Some I hated but most I really needed I knew the day would come but I still prayed We'd never walk the stage and things would just stay the same I knew the lasts would happen but damn they went fast All of our moments were here but then gone in a flash We had to say goodbye to the life we knew But my hardest goodbye was the goodbye I had with you We drove every one of those miles The closer it got the more real it became So many nights before that I spent crying Trying to prepare for this day My mind sees the nights under stars dancing slow I see the look in you eyes that it's time to go We knew the time was coming but time just flew I tried to live in the moment but we knew We had to say goodbye to the life we knew But my hardest goodbye was the goodbye I had with you I see the goodbye I see your blue eyes I see Christmas lights shining bright, late night phone calls Golf carts and not having to say anything at all We had to say goodbye to the life we knew But my best reunite was the reunite I had with you
