Imagine you are standing in a green field, a large green field. Some cows are grazing in a distance. It's late afternoon and they are casting long shadows over the meadow.

A small fence leads down to the brook, a small bridge stretches over the calm water. You are standing on that bridge with the dark water passing below.

From the bridge you see an old oak tree in the middle of that green field.

The vast greenery at the top is getting the colours of late summer green, you know the thick, dark kind of green that tells you it has fulfilled it's purpose.

A butterfly flickers through the air, looking for somewhere to settle. These are your thoughts, mind you. This is your mind.

If you can see all this, you are lucky.

We all know colours are deceptive, especially green. Green is the colour of plenty, abundance and grace. Green is survival, sanctity and hope.

I so envy that green.
