PERSPECTIVES
Hello to the world a tale of two different lives seen from both perspectives sit back and just close your eyes to sides of the same color both totally different lives So let us see what we can pull from inside our minds
I’m 16 and I’m now a junior I don’t live in the hood good school the fam wealthy living nice as we should although that I am different it ain’t all gifted in privileged I’m still seen as a black boy who got stuck in the wrong kitchen
Was raised proper I was kin to that silver spoon top education and always kept my grades up in school live in the suburbs my neighbors are white but I’m not a target just a human and it’s never been that big of a problem.
I love being black our history really sticks to me but how we acting now is beginning to flip the script for me
Out robbing shooting and stealing from our people how we supposed to get justice when our actions ain’t equal
I live with both parents my father been there since day one ain’t never left the family he been providing the income I know my life is different I’m switching up my objectives but this my story my personal own perspective
Now listen to me dawg I ain’t tryna judge how you living but where I’m from you either sell drugs or you go to prison my school is poor as hell with outdated books and broken bell a product of my hood and this story I pray I live to tell

I’m 16 but in this community that’s a grown man I never finished school cause we struggled tryna make meats end I had dreams to become a lawyer but they just fade away the streets was all I knew selling packs on the corner every day I ain’t have no silver spoon man all I had was the scraps cause if our skin the same color they gon pull out the strap they don’t care if you talk proper or your names on a plaque the cops will beat you worse than Rodney and put holes in yo back
You see it’s all bad that’s why I keep walking around with my head down cause if they see you lacking they’ll stomp you until you taste ground my own people killing and robbing but aye we gotta eat if you can’t get a job or diploma how you survive the week? Guess I fit the stereotype they try to label me the hood is all I know I don't know if I’ll see that 18 I wanna change my life I just pray that I don’t regret it but this is my story my personal own perspective
