Lyrics

Lately I been doing everything that I need to avoid
And avoiding everything that I need to get done
Ain't been doin what I say mama getting annoyed
Why you all up on my ass I'm just tryna have fun
I've been responsible, for like the last three years
Having a quarter life crisis with all of my peers
Because all of our fears, lately starting to rise
As the years go by right in front of our eyes
Not tryna grow up, feel like I barely been a kid
Been so focused on the music man I barely got to live
Always stuck inside the crib cause I'm tryna be the one, see
Things changed I done grew out of my onesie's
And I don't really wanna go back to that
But I'm also not tryna pay my bills and taxes
All that I know is ima stick to this path
So I write down these words and put them on the track like that
All of the sudden things look differently
I'm own on my own wave, take it day by day
And it always feels so bitter sweet I, don't wanna leave
Growing up way too fast, how do I make this last
Lately 24 hours feel like 24 seconds
Times so fast come on I just need second
Watching days pass and I'm tryna find the lesson
In this weird period of life that got me stressing
Blessing that I used to take for granted
Lately more clear and I finally understand it
Life has its own path you cannot plan it
But on the way you can make a change in the planet
And that, may sound corny to you but not to me
A name is history what the kid tryna be
I've seen individuals in my own family
Do nothing with they life or the air that they breathe
And I ain't tryna be like that, so I write raps
Hoping that with work and focus my life lasts
Past the time that my body here
So I pass the time writing rhymes thats what got me here
All of the sudden things look differently
I'm own on my own wave, take it day by day
And it always feels so bitter sweet I, don't wanna leave
Growing up way too fast, how do I make this last
