This solid state of mine
Is scratching out a ten watt hum while
I struggle to keep my thoughts straight
This POS will never translate my boutique state of mind
The closest that I ever came to greatness was only half mine
And we'll forever share that moment
I resign to leave it all behind and live another life
What's inside this tangled mess of wires
Won't keep us warm tonight
Awaken from the dead
But only when you kick the cabinet
Like jarring my old memories
If one spark could tell a story
Of burned out faulty connections
I've learned from all my corrections
And from dwelling on the failed sounds
I'd most likely fix in post but
Not this time I'll leave that world behind and live another life
What's inside this tangled mess of wires won't keep us warm tonight
It feels like a melody or a space saver for now
If I cared enough I'd write some real words down
