Lyrics

You ever feel like
You know who you are
But other people just don't quite understand
Well this is me
Still left out, still not fitting in
Still all alone, no one visiting
Still making music, no one listening
Nothing in my life has been interesting
Still got this pen to write music with
Load syllables in ink to shoot this clip
Memorize these lines to use to spit
One thing you can never be is too equipped
How I move is quick, and you know it's true
This my life what I'm supposed to do
Work a job get money being broke ain't cool
Make sure you don't confuse being woke with truth
If you confuse it, well you'll wind up stupid
Better to have wisdom than be someone foolish
Better to sit down than stand up when losing
When you win in silence, that's when they lose it
When they lose it, just calm down
Stay humble don't let your guard down
I just be looking up to God now
Don't take my passions all I got now
Then I drop down to the floor on my knees
Pick my head up and stand up with ease
My philosophy feeling like Socrates
I got all these problems will you talk to me
Answer me, sorry my thoughts been anxious
I write to think it's all over pages
Like an unemployed doc I have no patience
Just working everyday to achieve greatness
Come achieve it with me, we could rule the city
Buy a university, and charge people fifty
Thousand dollars just to get a degree
And when they can't pay 'em back, make 'em feel guilty
Like you chose this path, but I was just a kid see
Sign on the dotted line, that's kinda risky
Now you're in debt and that's how they tricked me
But look at this place it's so beautiful and pretty
But looks deceive just like the devil
Shout out no one, you were helpful
Get a medal, everyone says you're special
But now they turn their back 'cause I'm on a different level
Imma rebel, I been cutting ties since birth
Cut my own umbilical cord, it hurt
Jumped out the bed and then hit the dirt
Started running, time to put in work
Said peace to my father, said peace to my mother
I was just born, but I gotta be a runner
Saw a light, the top was on, and I kinda wondered
What it meant, so I went, 'cause I cannot see color
I may stutter over words when I talk fast
Can't afford fast food, I don't got cash
Wanna stop and talk, well I may walk past
Your opinion don't matter if you cannot rap
You don't have to rap but at least be creative
Put your mind to work, take laziness replace it
Art is art it doesn't care how it's created
But don't put it out cuz they won't appreciate it
They'll say they support you two thumbs up
You get all hype and do some stuff
Release it only to hear "dude you suck"
That's when you ask the question, "you do what?"
'Cause people do nothing unless it's easy
Sit all Sunday on the couch and watch TV
While I take my music, put it on a CD
Write to beats all day until I get sleepy
If needing alone time, makes me needy
Then call my selfish, I guess I'm greedy
I'll get away from myself when I'm dreaming
Then brainstorm music I care about it deeply
And it's not perfect, nothing's perfect yet
Me keep on workings what you should expect
I'll keep on working 'till I earn respect
I'll keep on working 'till it's worth it yeah
