Freedom is not given

Doesn’t it always start

with somebody

crossing a line

Selling their made up truth built upon lies

until people close their eyes

Doesn’t it only stop

once somebody

sees through the lies

Someone who can’t be fooled easily

Someone who’s speaking truth to power

Freedom is not given

It’s a fragile thing

It’s in need of love and kindness

Loads of pictures flood my mind

Just one question appears

If you believe that love conquers hate
