We Need a Lot More Christmas

Christmas comes but once a year sad to say but true We need a lot more Christmas days to chase away our blues Laugh out loud with folks we love and try to get along We need a lot more Christmas We need it all the time We need to be just like a child Who makes creation shi-i-ine We need a lot more Christmas I hope we all agree Send good wishes to all the world So folks can live in peace Every year we deck the halls put gifts beneath the tree I dream of all the things I want just waiting there for me When presents are all opened the year goes marching on Days are short the wind is cold and Christmas lights are gone Christmas happens every year that's just not enough Getting by from day to day is always mighty tough We yearn to lay down all our cares and help each other through Welcome strangers at our door that's the least that we can do We need a lot more Christmas We need it all the time We need to be just like a child Who makes creation shi-i-ine We need a lot more Christmas I hope we all agree Send good wishes to all the world So folks can live in peace
