Lyrics

So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I see the curtains close on your bed
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I hope to see you again
Nobody's on your side when the virus hits you,
It takes the air out of your lungs, its come to get you,
Doesn't matter if you're healthier than the one you're next to,
The pandemic and the government, they're both out to get you
I can't understand if its a monopoly,
The things I see on TV, they're a lot to see,
Taking in the news man, everyday its hard to read
When so many lives lost on the daily
Sometimes its hard to believe
I'm sitting at my desk, I'm comfortable in my home
People suffer in their beds, hospitals or homes
And we're running out of meds and an oxygen source
Last stage, blood plasma, or there's no way back home
I pray for our good health and of the health care workers
Mom believes in vibrations of collective prayer
World is on its knees, people at home in terror
On the front line straight out of school
We need all the help the we can get here
Just this morning had to postpone couple interviews
Because we got the news, that someone we knew, was critically abused
The virus got into his lungs, bedridden too
COVID center, is this the last we will see of you
I sit at my desk, as I write these rhymes, write these lines
Not knowing, if he'll come out alive
I'm waiting on that phone call, an update
Wish its a happy voice on the end and not a sad face
I wish that he comes out alive, hope its in his fate
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I see the curtains close on your bed
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I hope to see you again
These emotional peaks bring out the writer in me,
My lyrics influenced by the conditions around me,
Sometimes I'm laid back tryna get this off of me,
Sometimes want to fix things in the world and just preach
How long is this gonna take, lockdown is in this city's fate,
Now there's news that the virus can mutate,
Is this the end game? Somebody please help me,
Virus on one side, on the other side its poverty
We do our best trying to help others in distress
But sometimes its us, we need to de-stress,
Word I'm 'bout to say, enough on it, I can't stress,
Mental health, its your belief in yourself
The fire inside you must go on,
No matter the time and the place where you are,
Some things in life are just out of your control,
Doing everything to help, I know you want to,
But take care of yourself and your family at home
Take care of yourself and your family at home
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I see the curtains close on your bed
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I hope to see you again
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I see the curtains close on your bed
So many funerals, got me feeling really low, sitting alone at home
Wondering when this show will end
I hope to see you again
