Another number stands in line for a name

He doesn't realize, at the time, that it's all a game

Forget about the aid after you participate

Indebted to the system that you've paid

To teach you how to hate

Start thinking about what side you're on

Make sure that you're not a pawn

You're just a cog inside the gears

This dialogue inside your ears

Another mind that's fighting madness in the endless wash of years

But when you feel the bend about to snap

Escape then from that steely trap

Remembering that you've learned to squash your fears

Imagine a place where time is not of the essence

Imagine a life that weighs more than the world in which it exists

Imagine a way of being that is not depicted by pressure

You've seen the way now take the sword

Your mind is waiting on the word

A loaded coil brought to tension by the wrongfully absurd

Release the arrow from the nock

Rejoice my friends it's time to rock

The time has come

The time has come

For the past week, a handful of antiquated corporations have seen unexpected exponential growth in the United States stock market as the result of a coordinated mass-purchasing movement orchestrated online.

A simple strategy: a leap of faith

A groupthink with profound financial impact, every investor would eventually reap significant individual yields upon return of their investment

So long as each put faith in the other

But most did not anticipate the cherry on top of the onslaught: billionaires, feeding off the wealth they had accumulated betting on the stagnation of these previously outdated corporations, were hemorrhaged of their funds

Poisoned by the system upon which they once gorged themselves.

Chaos erupted in the upper echelon as the people rejoiced in their victory.

They were just getting started

But the carrot, never to be apart from the stick for long, was snatched away

Though we already know who holds the stick

In order to protect to hedge funds

To bail out the billionaires

To stem the bleeding of the poor rich

To skew the scales of power

To keep the people from winning

The brokers shut the system down
