Lyrics

I remember when I was told at life I'd fail. That wound runs deep, the image burnt in my mind so well. Grasping for straws, grasping for air, falling so fast my mind is scarred. Told I was wrong, again and again. Those words so etched in stone. I remember the pain of being pushed into the ground. And I've tasted the dirt, I felt the coldness of being bound. Standing alone, feeling the dark, screaming so loud my throat goes dry, clawing the dirt, pawing the door. The path so hard to find. Feel the fire burning inside of me. Taste the pure desire of the need to be free. I still remember when I was told at life I'd fail, but now I'm older I realize that the key I hold myself.
