I Will Be

I thought I’d be somewhere else by now

But I’m not

I’m still right here

And I’ve got a twirling fit of things to do

But nothing’s getting done

And I have just enough to lose

I took a bath to wash away

At least I tried

But I can’t seem to shake myself awake

Then the fever took my body

Like it does on lonely nights

Made me scream into my pen
