I struggle through New York winters every year

Where only the strong survive and the rest go out there

Where you never have to complicate

I hate how you take another one of my friends like every day

And they're paying you a next-to-nothing rent just to habitate

Some beautiful spot on the beach down in Marina del Rey

You're better than that boy on the beach who can barely communicate

But to settle down here must be an easy thing to contemplate

Well, if I ever want to know what it's like to live in such a beautiful place...
