Last night, the little girl walked in

And handed me my notice

They voted me out of her league

And I'm sorry, I'm embarrassed

And I'm sorry she couldn't use me

I woke up this morning

And cried and cried

I turned on The Today Show

And wished it was yesterday

Or maybe mother me?

Well I took a bus to get on a train

But somebody changed the trains and the planes

So I flew all the way to downtown L.A

But nobody there could use me

So I'm gonna join the cowboys

And shoot me some outlaws

It's something to do

Since I'm out here anyway

But I'd quit it all, I'd give it all up

If the little girl could use me
