I once heard someone say that
Hurt people, hurt people
And good or bad
Whatever we give comes back to us
But if you recognize the source of your pain
And channel that pain into something good
It's strange how that pain can turn into something so beautiful
So I had to take some space and energy to heal
And at the same time
Be a voice for those who can't speak for themselves
Uninhibitedly writing
And pouring my feelings on the page
Turning those feelings into melodies and songs
Does wonders for me
It soothes the beast
It's my therapy
