We loved the world we used to know

But nothing can stay the same forever

We have to let it go

Finding the safest place we can

And be prepared to climb inside

You’d best get comfortable, you could be there a while

And you might say what has it allcome to?

Lament the loss of this fine place we knew

And you might ask how did it come to this?

At least it’s quiet here in my chrysalis

Will the world be changed as we finally emerge?

Will we face the strange? Will we remember what we’ve learned?

How will we observe the place we left behind?

What will it be like, rebuilt in time?

Can we be there again?

Can we be there again?

We’re hoping life will be the same

What has now gone and what remains?

Everything forever changed (eclosing from our chrysalis)

And as I blink and look around

Suddenly overwhelmed with sound

The biggest change that I can see is here in me

And you might ask what has the world come to?

I liked the quiet and the darkness too

And you might say how has it come to this?

Is it safe to leave my chrysalis?

How have I been changed as I finally emerge? (we’re turning the corner)

Can I face the strange? Will I remember what I’ve learned? (we stand a bit taller)

Who will recognise the people we’ve become? (just look at the difference)

Will we take the chance and build on what we’ve grown?

Will it stand? (now we have to know if it will stand)

We’ll embrace the change as we finally emerge (we welcome the new world)

We’ll welcome the strange, we will remember what we’ve learned (we’re leaving the darkness)

They won’t recognise the people we’ve become (there’s no going back now)
