Voice of Oceans

My little barque on restless sea

Its sails a whipping sound to me

Moves on its course, the voyage long

Yet steady now though storms are strong

I know the Lord of Oceans well

His Spirit all my fears dispel

Though waves are high and pitiless

His hallowed path, my confidence

O let the winds of fervent faith

Propel this vessel through life's wake

Winding mid the narrow straits

God's righteousness the chasing wave

Then amid the surging swell

The peril of gale and shoal is quelled

With peace, an ever-flowing tide

I'm safely near my Sovereign's side

Now I sing with joy anew

As heaven's shore comes into view

The towering mast so torn and tossed

Displays my heart, my Savior's cross

With each new day I'm closer home

My God is near I'm not alone

O how I yearn in anxious wait

To reach the land of endless praise
