Lyrics

Your breath is a bridge between your mind and body.
You are able to strongly influence the state of your mind by gently practicing breath regulation.
Notice the rate and quality of your breathing.
What could you do right now to make yourself more comfortable?
It is your choice whether you want to close your eyes.
Do whatever feels best for you.
Feel your breath moving in and out of the body.
Feel your breath for the next several moments.
Many of us have a preferred method to breathe for balance. If you have such a preference, you can follow your method while you listen to this guide.
Take whatever you find useful
and disregard anything you do not find useful.
Feel your breath moving in and out of the body.
Ask yourself if there's anything you can do at this moment to breathe even more comfortably.
Pay attention to the quality of your exhalation slow and easy
Without overdoing it, practice exhaling just a little more air out with each breath, slow and easy as you exhale a little more.
Your inhalation automatically responds by bringing more fresh air into your lungs to better oxygenate your organs.
By taking this slow and easy, you are nourishing your mind and body.
Your mind becomes more alive.
Your attention is relaxed and alive.
Remind yourself that breathing for balance is not about checking out.
Breathing for balance is about coming alive
When you regulate your breath, your whole internal physiology responds.
And when your internal environment is regulated, it is easier to operate in an external switch situation that is not under your full control.
Give yourself several more moments to settle into the state of coming alive.
Breathe slow and easy.
Exhale more fully
and stay comfortable.
As you close this breathing practice, become aware of your energy state
The benefits of this breathing practice will stay with you moment to moment within your mind and body
Notice how you feel and how you are ready to take on any important work that comes your way.
If you haven't already, open your eyes.
Take in your surroundings.
Carry your aliveness with you and know that you can return to breathing practice again and again whenever you need it.
Slow and easy.
