The place I sit is nowhere new

I know that you’ve been sat here too

This road I’ve never shown to you

You see it on my dirty shoes

I walk alone but never cry

Resisting every dampened eye

A quest for freedom in disguise

I tell myself that this is life

I’m fake

Either that or every face inside me lives and dies depending on the day

I wake to feel my thumping chest, I think I have the tools to find my way

You wouldn’t believe me

If I told you that I’d suffered all this time I just knew how to keep you blind

I might be low but I still find the world around me speaks of something so divine

You have your reasons I have mine

I can’t predict when I decline

It oscillates so frequently

Like meeting you means loosing me

Obsession seems to reappear

I haven’t felt attached for years

Expectations cease to match

These feelings hold like artefacts

I waste

Every breath like gulps of water I just need it to survive but there’s no taste

I can’t decide if there is meaning here, perhaps it might be found another day
