Feeling like I’m dreaming

I keep feeling like I’m dreaming

But I’m wide awake

This is reality that I’m perceiving

Feeling like we’re all in need of healing

All deserving

All open I draw away the curtain

Rehearsing lines I put these words in

Hoping that you see how hard I’m working

But either way I’m writing

I ain’t waiting

Loving how I’m living life cause it’s amazing

Still practice patience

So grounded this is music for the basement

Understanding and embracing

For every moment that is spent

Elevating on a steady ascent

Yeah you heard what I said

But did you hear what I meant

Cause I’ve seen a lot of things couldn’t say where I went

But it had an effect

All the parts of myself that I met

That keep me in check

Make sure I step correct

As far as I know

I will walk for as far I can go

Long and far that I will grow

Undeviating incline

That is my inclination

Time is precious so there is none for wasting

All these fruits of life that I’m tasting

They're just ready and awaiting

For me to sink my teeth in

So much selection

Real good I’m eating

Fresh from the highest branch that I’m reaching

Hard work and believing

Grateful for the love I’m receiving
