Swallowing the sword whole
Dulling the senses
Sharpening the tongue
The Throat bleeds
Lesser light clings to unworthy hosts
And poison flows from their mouths
Like rivers to the sea.
It takes a great score to drool such malice
Which fills the oceans
Obscuring the opulence
Of what might be
The rising sun dawns on a world
That will never be as bright
Irrevocably tainted
It eats the hearts of those
Whose minds have greedily consumed
Foaming at the mouth, ready to devour
The ravenous sink their fangs
Into what now bears naught but sickly fruit.
Bloodshot
Blinded
Suserring asphyxiant
Shrieking enchoirs
Befouled
Engulfed
The creeping terror of panic slowly taking hold
A haunting serenade
Soulbound sorrow
Soaked in lonely tears
Howling hatred for all to hear.
There is no solace
For the loss that'll be carried to the grave
