When you finally pass, you can only hope your past

Made such an impact it lasts

That's what we're aiming for and that's why we take these photographs

Capturing laughs in the moments that we've had

So when we sit back we can sit and reminisce like

History was yesterday but some are so hooked

On trying to get a page in that book

They're searching for the lettuce 'cause they're trying to get ahead

But you can't make the sandwich unless you have the bread

Excuse the corny line, time is never beside you

It creeps in the shadows behind you

Try to make the most of it, but when it's your time to

Leave, it will surly remind you

And found inner peace after every album release

Smiling in a photograph never took my pain away

But I'm happy making songs about a rainy day

Time is never promised, I never met my grandfathers

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bothered

They passed away before I had a chance to meet them

So now a photograph's the only way I get to see 'em

A picture's worth a thousand words

But there's still this frustration, we can never have a conversation

So as the clock ticks those memories fade
