About a man named Steve and his alter ego

A crazy bearded dude named Garlic Green

Well he'd spin a yarn or play a tune

Didn't matter which, because real soon

Everyone around had come to see

He could talk Russian with German spies

But he wasn't drinking vodka, it was Akvavit

Well he went to war and made it back

A Lieutenant Commander, and that's a fact

Proud to serve his country, the USA

But when war was through he found himself anew as Ajo Verde
