Hip-hop in Kenya is an interesting thing, know what I mean?

Like, guys have been trying, for a long time now it\'s been on the come up

I think Kenyan music as a whole is something that just still needs to lift off

We\'re in an industry where guys are kinda cutting one another, there are so many shortcuts

There\'s a lack of appreciation for the art and for the business as a whole

And we got a lot of artists who are struggling to make it in this kind of an atmosphere where even if they do have the talent and the business mentality it\'s difficult to break into something which isn\'t really totally developed or there yet

And there are some people that you never even hear of unless you\'re literally standing in front of them

Like, I didn\'t even know who Ace was

And then I got to know his music and it\'s actually pretty damn decent

Ace Tha Don lyrically is a beast

I\'m not even gonna lie to you guys

Ace Tha Don works it

And Ace is someone who can make it and should make it, you know what I mean

Like, Ace is working it

That\'s the only way that I can say

Lyrically he is underrated

You know, and you think about other rappers like the Don Of Da Bizness himself

And you compare the kind of lyrics that people write

And you realize that some people are just doing it because they wanna create a hype around something

And some other people are doing it cus\' you know, the love of the music

As for Ace Tha Don, well

First of all, the first time I came across his music is because some chick at the studio was blaring it every day on our show, no names

But I was like okay who\'s this

It\'s honest, I think, for the most part

I don\'t think he raps about, just blah

I mean, it\'s early days

I don\'t wanna say I\'m a super fan

I just wanna say, at this point I haven\'t made my mind up about Ace Tha Don
