Lyrics

I'm the luckiest woman in the world
I mean I get to get up every single day of my life
And help people achieve their dreams
And their goals and their aspirations
I have an opportunity to inspire people and
To motivate people to live their best life
I mean, what better job in the world could I possibly have?
But first, can I share something with you?
Back in the day I used to swear I was going to be a rockstar
Drop the beat
The past, over
The future, not here yet
You've got right here, right now
Let's work
Procrastination is the thief of time, get up
Let's work
Let's work
Hi, I'm DOLO
Author, project and process improvement manager
Corporate trainer and motivational junkie
Welcome to LIFE RAFT
The first release of my Live Your Best Life series
Now, DOLO is a double entendre
In other words, a word that has two meanings
It's short for Dolores, my middle name, and an acronym
Deliver On Life's Opportunities
And that's what I'm here to do
Deliver, and demonstrate what's possible in your life
Hey, thanks for giving me the opportunity to be your coach
To share my thoughts, my views and my perceptions
On what it takes to live your best life
I'm privileged and I'm honored to be fulfilling my passion
And my hope for you is that after listening to this audio
You too will have a new perspective on life
So today's the day
No more complaining, no more feelings of inadequacy or doubt
Today, well, today you decided at the very least
To entertain some type of change in your life
And that's huge, that's brave, that's awesome
Because change can be a mother
You see, people fear change and they fear it for two very good reasons
The first reason is that they're afraid
They're not capable of making the change
The second reason is that they're afraid of how the change
Will impact their family, their friends, their job, whatever
The dictionary's definition of liable is likely to do or be something
Now, how about that?
Likely to be able, liable
I think you're picking up what I'm putting down
But let's just take it a step further, stay with me
I'm going to hold you liable
That's right, L-Y-B-L, live your best life
I'm going to hold you liable for your decisions
I'm going to hold you liable for your actions
I'm going to hold you liable for your relationships
I'm going to hold you liable for your goals and your dreams
Because here's the thing
Your problem isn't really your problem
Your problem is your attitude towards the problem
So here's my guarantee to you, I'm going to give you major attitude
Now, let me explain
If you spell out the word attitude and you assign a
Numerical equivalent to take its place in the alphabet
So, for example, A equals one, T equals twenty, so on and so forth
And you add those numbers up, it totals, you guessed it, one hundred
I'm going to keep it one hundred and I'm going to give you one hundred
So throughout this course, I'll be sharing stories
Techniques and proven exercises developed to give
You the tools you need to live your best life
I'm sentencing you to LIFE RAFT
A two-part series designed to reflect, motivate and inspire
It's also an acronym designed to be user-
Friendly and easy to stay on track
So let me outline how it works and what we'll cover
In the LIFE section, L is for love, I is for
Identity, F for family and E is for environment
And in the RAFT section, the R is for responsibility
A, accountability, F is for fear and T is for trust
You see, the LIFE section addresses the whos and the whats
The RAFT section addresses the whys and the hows
You wanna live a fulfilling, rewarding, gratifying life?
My hope is that you do, I mean, otherwise, go ahead and die
I mean it, seriously, what are you here for taking up space?
Are you gonna be, you fill in the blank there, or not?
Sit with that thought, I'll wait
Live a life worth living, not just breathing
And I'll let you in on a little secret
It has nothing to do with money or fame
Now, I'm not suggesting money and fame isn't desirable for some
But it should never be a key focus
You dedicate your efforts to living
Your best life and the money will come
And I'll make another guarantee
If you live a life filled with purpose
Everything you've ever desired will be at your fingertips
And guess what?
Half the things you think you want, you won't
Even crave after you've completed this course
It's designed to focus on what's important
We make life complicated with layers
And layers of crap and nothingness
I call it the one year rule
If it's not going to matter a year from
Now, guess what? It doesn't matter
Let it go
Let me tell you what's important
Come here, it's a secret
Love, identity, knowing yourself and
Finding yourself, family and the environment
Everything else, it's just noise
The goal is simple
Make some discoveries about yourself and your surroundings
And then make some decisions about how you're going
To ride this monster roller coaster we call life
Once we gain some understanding about what matters
Wait a minute, run it back first
Notice I say understanding
This is a process, not a one and done
It's not magic, it's hard work, dedication, focus, but it works
Life is the easy part, believe it or not
The living it is where things get tough
This is where action shows up
We'll switch our focus to qualities you need to make it all happen
Responsibility, accountability, fear and trust
Yep, this is going to increase your ability
To demonstrate what's possible in your life
Trust me when I tell you, if you get ready, you'll stay ready
Let's work
Let's work
Let's work
Let's work
Let's work
