I still have that yellow stained

Flower petal sheets twisted on the floor

Always left wanting a little more out of things

That's okay I don't need much

I'm a simple girl

That's what I've been told

Bought a basil plant

From the grocery store

It's been so boring

Watching it grow

It's strange how fast time goes without someone there

Without you here

I'll throw it tomorrow

Or the next

Maybe it's too hard

To let go just yet

Stuck in my dreams

Where you always come back to bed

Now I spend my nights eyes open

They're always bloodshot red

I'm a simple girl
