Lyrics
So I took a walk outside into the garden
And I couldn't decide which path to take today
The bricks were spread out far and wide before me
Then suddenly the flowers, they turned grey
No one knows why it grows but it goes on and on
Must have seen all this green where you been all this long
And I've been left on my own, I've sat and watched it grow
And the only thing I know is grass is grass
Found some paint in the shed over there
And i'll spread some on all the petals
The raindrops hang full of colour
That the rain has washed away
All the neon flowers begin to glow and shimmer
And the grass stemmed roses fragrance fills the air
Full of sun and sky and warmth and rural living
Carpet green I've seen the dewdrops up and fly
How it grows heaven knows why it goes on and on
How the trees take the breeze when the birds sing their song
Cause I've been left on my own, I've sat and watched it grow
And the only thing I know is grass is grass
