So far from Glory

Heading through the tragic depths of pain

Showered by the heavens even bloody sheets of sin and shame

Souls pour from mouths of the dead forming puddles of blood in the streets below

Farther down the path of corruption where will it end no one will know

Pay attention

This lesson must be learned

To reach Ascension

You have to first get burned

Welcome to life

V2:

Task after task completed each harder than the first

Can't let yourself be defeated when your sacrifice becomes your curse

Recognize your scars of achievement

With honor and lament

Never get caught dead retreating some trials you just can't prevent

Pay attention

You have to wait your turn

Its not your decision

When or what you'll learn

Time after time

Test After test

Be better than the rest

Be the best

Open your mind

Take a deep breath

You won't believe what comes next

No place for mistakes

You do what it takes

You bend till you break

How can I manage to gain the advantage if I end up damaged or worse

What I don't understand is how pain can be handled even better once youve felt it first

If you maintain a steady level of pain a tolerance can be gained to protect you

But when it's all the same and no emotion remains you feel the pain you chose not to go through

V3:

Still so far from Glory but even farther Now from home

Like those whove come before me no longer man of Flesh and Bone

Only one more task to go and my lessons are complete

But in order to know the flavor of Victory you have to taste defeat
