Life’s a long journey it’s like climbing mountains/ thank the Lord I’m still alive so I can write about it/ All the strife and doubting all the hype and clouting/ made it through it all I thank the Lord this made me wise and grounded/ slaying mics wit my slum dawgs/ when my son called he asked me how I got the name Young Paul/ keep it G it was from the streets/ but still connected to the Bible like when Saul and Jesus meet/ when I read my heart would weep when I see how broken Saul became Paul at Jesus feet/ a violent man who was very broken/ but then saw the light and now his eyes was very open/ now I’m bumping into enemies from the past/ instead of violence came with peace and the beef was hashed/ and this is how are stories are similar/ went from being slaves of ours sins to the Lords prisoners/ went from hurting people to loving people we were sinister/ more bitter than salt & vinegar/ my man Chobe I would sit wit bruh and I would spit this stuff and he would always tell me it’s familiar/ all these people who knew you were very brutal/ are now seeing you move wit love and it’s very crucial/ he would say you are brave like a Young Paul/ in this fight some arise great and some ull fall/ in this life some will fly high and some will crawl/ yeah in life some will strive high and some will stallllll/ I hate satan he killing us/ they say the flow great we go ape and they streets feeling us/ ugh made my mistakes but the Lord healing us/ more stress thorn in my flesh the scars bleeding lust/ yeah the Lords grace is so astounding/ demons hounding swarming hard through public housing/ in the Bronx where I stay but Jersey got my heart and it don’t matter where I stay I’m sturdy from the start/ satans prey locked in the dark/ I was food that was stuck in a cage like a shopping cart/ born depraved was a sloppy start/ I pray for wisdom in this war and discernment so I dodge these darts/ fighting brave like Rocky’s heart/ with the heart of a champ in the jungle this what got me far/
