Upon the hill that overlooks

The roughshod village

An obelisk stands destroyed

Humming with evil power

It searches the valleys

Glistening 'neath the moon

A false lighthouse and mimic

Of savage cathedral bells

Tendrils of black lightning

Roll in ropes over every knoll

Reanimating the long dead

Hymns still in their throats

The toppled reliquary

Older than the ground

On which it is racked

The toppled reliquary

Fouler than the skies

Under which it endures

The hamlet's grisly tangle

An obelisk awaits sanguine renewal
