We had the boat loaded down full of poles and bait and at least enough beer to last 3 or 4 days, 5am, what could possibly go wrong

 

Jimmy took the wheel, said it’s pretty far

But I know a little spot where the big ones are, dropped the hammer on the Yamaha and we were making waves

 

Till the water got shallow and the boat high centered

We were all pissed off till Bill remembered

Those 12 ounce little life saving blue cans we brought

 

Now we’re drinking on a sandbar in the middle of nowhere

This ain’t where the fish are, but really we don’t care

This ain’t how we planned it but it’s working out so far

Staring at a sunrise drinking on a sandbar

Before the clock struck noon, Luke was drunk as hell backflipped off the boat and nearly broke his tail

Then we all started light saber fighting with our fishing poles

 

With a paddle for a bat and a buck to the winner

We were Babe Ruth swinging at fast ball minnows

Ice chest said it wasn’t time yet to call for help

I had the only cell phone that hadn’t took a swim

Called my brother told him about the trouble we were in

He said I’ll bring what you need and some friends man I’m on my way
