Lyrics

Started when I was 22, paddling up a river in crap canoe
Rugby club lads on tour and we'd had a few
Up the river wye with wet shoes
All the gear and no idea paired up in twos
Making a splash, staying dry wasn't gonna last
No technique with wet asses
How they thought we'd be responsible is past me
With a load of blokes fatties, thinnies, with no kits and glasses
Cider was the drop of the day
Sipping cans like we couldn't wait
Stopped off in a couple of pubs on the way
Cos we fancied drinking from a glass for a change
I really didn't know, that something in my soul
It opened up for me, this music therapy
Look back and laugh at this, sometimes I do not miss
I'm adamant this was, the best accident
Rowing down the river wye
And my partner lost his ore in the first five minutes
Played it cool but I was livid
Knowing full well I was gonna have to do all the work
Whilst he sits there and rolls a fat nerf
I've Had a gutsful now I wish I was back on turf
But the cider made it worth it
Then Old un said land ahead
The timing was perfect
Time to watch old men put up tents
Whilst half cut from slurping
Not only that, they've all got bad backs, looks like they're twerking?
To be fair so far this lads trip has been proper hard work
Glad I bought some spare shirts
I really didn't know, that something in my soul
It opened up for me, this music therapy
Look back and laugh at this, sometimes I do not miss
I'm adamant this was, the best accident
And when we pitched up, we recharged
Burgers, hot dogs from the BBQ
That's when I knew when I saw the
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
I really didn't know, that something in my soul
It opened up for me, this music therapy
Look back and laugh at this, sometimes I don't miss
I'm adamant this was, the best accident
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
Guitar cases I saw, I'm adamant this was the best accident
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
Guitar cases I saw, guitar cases I saw
