People will disappoint you, people will abandon you, stop loving you, gossip behind your back

People will fail you, but God will never fail you

Tired of the talk, tired of the gossip, I'm hearing conversations like, why am I the topic

I see these people watching, they want to see me fall

Sometimes I feel like holding back, I gotta give my all

Identity in Christ, still trying to find my way

People talk behind my back, they smile in my face

Bringing up my past, Lord take away the shame

I don't see the loyalty, people disappointing me

I fail God daily, his favor still spoils me

Middle of my mess, God still anointed me
