Seeking

Snow falling like white sheets

millions of flakes unique

hiding away the streets

muting the noise of the town

dressing it in a white gown

 

Wrapped up in a warm coat

trying not to get soaked

keeping away the cold

slowly inhaling cold air

awaiting my thoughts to get clear

I have been chasing comfort

Just wanna finally feel warm

To stir my inner fire

Making me able to move on

Dancing through the spring rain

It’s beauty that I crave

Hoping for sun again

to unfreeze the ice on my heart

defrosting what winter has brought

 

Wishing for a fresh spring

a brand-new song to sing

get rid of all that clings

to free up some space in my heart

giving myself a clean start

My soul is seeking beauty

like blooming flowers in my yard

To stir my inner fire

Making me able for a new start

Seeking a new song

to sing whilst I move on
