Dead Reflections

So this is how it starts, one mistake justifies another Always leading to a bitter end I've always said I'd never come back to this These vices always find a way back in Excuses run deep, a life on repeat I swear this time is different I cannot keep admitting defeat I swear this time is different I threw away my happiness Because I wanted to feel alive And now I'm left in this emptiness Dead reflections within my eyes Into the depths I sink, no hope in sight Rock bottom, how much deeper can I go Rock bottom, I've never felt so alone Excuses run deep, a life on repeat I swear this time is different I cannot keep admitting defeat I swear this time is different I threw away my happiness Because I wanted to feel alive And now I'm left in this emptiness Dead reflections within my eyes Is there any redemption? Any hope to make this right? Or am I doomed to repeat this cycle time after time?
