Mountain Town

The weather's getting warmer The cold is almost done I'm standing on the corner Just squinting in the sun With a couple of fine ideas Right there across the street For you, la paleteria And a liquor store for me We got everybody coming over Got a fire pit all dug Went out and got a bunch of beer And a couple recreational drugs Now I don't know who's gonna show But I promise you a real good time Now here's just a little something To take a couple things off your mind Think I'm gonna stay a little longer In this mountain town There's a lotta folks around here That I kinda like being around But ya know nothing lasts forever And I was born to roam Think I'm gonna stay in Colorado At least while the days are long Now I like the taste of a mountain brew Just pour it right in my mouth But when it comes to women Ya know I like 'em from further south So if you've ever been down to New Orleans Or better yet to Old San Juan You know they got the baddest women I'm gonna go down and get me one Bring her on back to Colorado Show her around ol' Telluride Get my baby nice and stoney And keep the young thing satisfied Think I'm gonna stay a little longer In this mountain town There's a lotta folks around here That I kinda like being around But ya know nothing lasts forever And I was born to roam Think I'm gonna stay in Colorado At least while the days are long
