Skinny, short, too quiet, black

From here on out make sure you say CHRISTIAN first

You can leave the rest of them out

Y'all can say what y'all want

The only label that matters to me

Is being a Christian

Cause in the end all the rest of those will fall off

Because HE is risen

My Lord took me from bondage to freedom

So why in the world would I continue to live just to have labels that's accepted by people

I won't stand, and claim that I have power

When I'm standing here before you today

Because of God's power

My power didn't save me from committing suicide

And no I'm not ashamed of my race

But what I am saying is not one of those labels sustains my life

It's my God who sent HIS Son, named Jesus

And whose title is Christ

Meaning He's the Messiah, Deliverer

He put His label on me

And told the enemy, "she's MINE"

When God looks at us, HE doesn't look at those worldly labels

HE sees HIS child

The only label that matters is the one HE gave

It doesn't matter what's being thrown from the crowd

Yes, we are imperfect and used to be a child of evil and filthy

But HE came, cleansed us and made us free

So when the enemy brings accusations because of our imperfections

HE says "Not guilty"

Don't use your freedom in Christ

To attain labels that will decay

Don't use your freedom in Christ

As an excuse for selfish gain

Wear that label HE has put on you

With the same faith and courage as Daniel

Cause even if that label gets you thrown into the lions den

Believe and live like you know

That HE IS ABLE
