Let me just be real here

I know we've all had a bad a year

and just like the time that you settled

for settling in

all the furniture that you can fit

is not enough

the sine qua non

of moving on

is plastering up the dry wall,

cold shouldering a phone call

but sure enough

i caught your bluff

your voice, it carries a whole lot

piercing me like a gunshot

There's only one small thing

between me and it

So you wound up skipping it

until the end,

burned it, brushed your teeth,

and then went to bed
